Primavera Century Bicycle Event

The Primavera is a bicycle tour of the local area, from Fremont to Calaveras to the Altamont Pass and to Castro Valley, hosted by the Fremont Freewheelers Bicycle Club (FFBC). The FFBC has been the proud sponsor of the popular Primavera Century, for more than 35 years and offers rides for all types of riders.

SBARA is proud to have played a vital role in safety of riders and event coordination, by providing two-way radio communications. During the event SBARA communication volunteers position themselves at various places covering the entire route and set up a mobile radio network. Operating from various aid stations and SAG vehicles, they providing constant and reliable communication to the event coordinators about supplies, assistance to riders and sometimes even help with traffic control.
