Hayward Zucchini Festival

Official Web Site: The Hayward Zucchini Festival

DATES: August 18 & 19, 2018
LOCATION: Southland Mall, Hayward, California

Hayward Zucchini Festival Sponsored by South Hayward Lions Club is celebrated every year. The event is supported by sponsors and vendors both from the City of Hayward as well as from across the San Francisco Bay Area. It is a two day fair with arts, music, food and fun for all ages.

SBARA is proud to have provided the crucial communications for the successful coordination of such a busy event, for many years. Each year SBARA calls for volunteers to help with the radio communications and coordination for this event. The festival organizers provide FRS radios, so you do not need to bring any radios to the festival. By donating a few hours of your time to help with communications, you will be helping SBARA which in turn helps the club fund other programs. This is also a great way to sharpen your emergency communication and coordination skills!

For the benefit of volunteers, the event duration is split into convenient time slots, shown below. Shift times overlap to ensure there are sufficient volunteer staff at all times. Please help out by signing up for as many time slots as possible. Volunteers recieve a free meal coupon, free parking and free family passes!
